Scheck Hillel Community School, a large Jewish Community School in the North Miami/Aventura area has an opening for a highly motivated Jewish Student Life Coordinator to join our Lower School team for the 2025/2026 school year. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a dynamic and engaging Jewish community within the lower school, organizing and executing Jewish holiday celebrations, growing our students’ zionist spirit, and providing educational opportunities for students to learn about Jewish culture and traditions. 

The Jewish Student Life Coordinator will work closely with students, teachers, the lower school administrative team, and parents to ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members of Scheck Hillel's community. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Jewish education and excellent communication skills. 


Responsibilities:

  • Lead person in the planning and implementing Lower School Activities for all Jewish Holidays and relevant school events during the school year.
  • Lead, and coordinate logistics and educational aspects of all shabbat b'yachad
  • Plan and coordinate and lead holiday celebrations and monthly Rosh Chodesh assemblies for Lower School
  • Maintains a high level of energy, passion, and productivity and models high standards for others
  • Provide educational opportunities for students to learn about Jewish culture and traditions
  • Collaborate with teachers to integrate Jewish themes and values into the curriculum
  • Foster a sense of community among Jewish students and families
  • Create partnerships with local Jewish organizations to enhance the school's Jewish programming
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products & Google apps for education and other education-related system,
  • Leading Tefillah, teaching one Judaic Studies class, and assisting with Lower School duties.


Job Qualifications: 

  • Passion for Jewish education and for nurturing the growth of tomorrow's Jewish leaders.
  • Thorough knowledge of Jewish Holidays, Israel, and Hebrew language competence.
  • As a role model, must have background and current experience in Orthodox Jewish practice
  • Bachelor's degree in Jewish education or related field
  • Experience in successfully managing a budget 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, and parents
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent Organization skills
  • Self Starter
  • Creative and Artistic abilities
  • Flexibility in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work late hours and weekends and join day trips (when necessary)
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
